How to Open a Forex Chart on MT4 Software
Once you have opened a practice account the next step is to open a Forex chart so as to start trading.
For this example let's begin with a blank screen on the MetaTrader 4 interface.
To open a new chart from the example below, click the "File" tab at the tops left corner as shown below, then select the option "New Chart".

After clicking "New Chart" a drop down menu will appear with a list of currency pairs that as a trader you can choose which to open. For example the first currency pair in the selection is the EURUSD, clicking EURUSD will open the chart for this currency pair.

Login to a MetaTrader 4 Forex Trading Account - MetaTrader 4 Platform Setup
Before placing any trade on the MT4 software, you will be required to sign in to your account and get authenticated before gaining access to the account. Authentication is checking to see if the login details you provide for User Name & Pass Word are the correct sign in details for the account.
To start trading on MT4, just click on "File", then tap and click "Login" button from the file drop down menu as shown below.

As a trader once you click this login button key, then a popup will appear prompting you to type your Username and Password as shown & illustrated below:

Once you in put your Username and Password you will then have to choose the server: because this is a demo trading account, for this instance you'll then choose "Demo", if it was a real forex account/live forex trading account then you would have to select "Real" Server on this option by clicking the dropdown arrow on right side of the above text box.
Then tick the box "Save Account Information"
Then Click 'Sign in'
Once you click sign in your details will be authenticated and you will then have access to your MT4 account and when logged in to your account you can begin to trade & place new orders in market in MetaTrader 4 platform. If you do not have login details you can get these details by registering a practice trading account with a broker.
