MT4 is the software you install on your Desktop computer. For this learn xauusd course we shall refer to the MetaTrader 4 or MT4, because it is the easiest xauusd software to learn with & the most widely used.
MT4 also requires very little internet bandwidth, that way even if you don't have a fast internet connection you can use MT4 without any problem. You will need to register first with a broker before you can download the MT4 software.

MT4 demo account is a free practice account provided for beginner traders online traders, otherwise referred to as a demo trading account that you practice with, the cash is virtual, not real money. No one uses real money to start with, all beginner traders use the demo practice trading account to practice with before investing and depositing real money to trade with. The MT4 practice account is designed to provide free XAUUSD training practice as they learn how to trade the market.
You will need to register with an online broker before you can get the free demo practice trading account. After you signup & register you will then receive login credentials for your MetaTrader 4 practice trading account. You'll then use these account login credentials to login to your xauusd MT4 demo account and start practicing with.
Setting Up MetaTrader 4 Platform Software
After you have gotten the MT4 account details you'll then install MetaTrader 4 software on your PC computer. If you've never installed any software before navigate to folder where you downloaded the MT4 platform (don't know where that is, just Press both Ctrl & J i.e. CTRL+J or (CTRL+Y) Keys on your keyboard, and your MT4 download will appear), double-click the download trading software platform file & then click next, next til you finish installation.
After you have installed the MetaTrader 4 platform you'll then open the platform software from the begin menu of your computer. After you have opened the MetaTrader 4 you will see the interface you will be working with which might seem complicated at first but it is not. The MetaTrader 4 platform tutorials will be explained under the learn tutorial lessons section where you'll get an explanation of how to use this MT4 platform in just one hours time.
At the 'top left corner' of MetaTrader 4 platform click the 'File' Menu, a dropdown menu appears, scroll to where you see 'Log In ' & click it. You will then be prompted to enter the 'username' and 'password' that you got when you registered and signed up on your broker's web site.' You're now signed in to your xauusd MetaTrader 4 platform and you're ready to begin xauusd.
After this you'll see your account balance highlighted just below the charts & you as a trader can use now begin using MetaTrader 4 to place demo practice trades on the market.
