MetaTrader 4 platform is the software you install on your computer. For this learn xauusd course we shall refer to the MetaTrader 4 or MT4, because it is the easiest xauusd platform software to learn with & the most widely used.
MT4 also requires very little internet bandwidth, that way even if you don't have a fast internet connection you can use MT4 without any problem. You will need to register first with a broker before you can download the MetaTrader 4 software.

MT4 demo xauusd account is a free practice account provided for beginners online gold traders, otherwise known as a demo gold account that you practice with, the cash is virtual, not real money. No one uses real money to start with, all novice traders use the practice xauusd account to practice with before investing and depositing real money to trade with. The MT4 xauusd practice trading account is meant to provide free XAUUSD training practice while they learn how to trade the online gold market.
You will need to register with an online gold trading broker before you can get this free practice account. After you signup and register you will then receive login credentials for your MT4 practice account. You will then use these xauusd account login details to sign in to your xauusd MT4 demo xauusd account and start practicing with.
Setting Up MT4 XAUUSD Platform
After you have gotten the MT4 xauusd account details you will then install MT4 software on your PC computer. If you've never installed any software before navigate to folder where you downloaded the xauusd MT4 platform (don't know where that is, just Press both Ctrl & J i.e. CTRL+J or (CTRL+Y) Keys on your keyboard, and your MT4 download will appear), double-click the download trading software platform file and then click next, next until you finish installing.
After you've installed the MT4 software you will then open the platform software from the start menu of your computer. After you have opened the MetaTrader 4 platform you will see the interface you will be working with which might seem complicated at first but it is not. The MT4 software tutorials will be explained under the learn tutorial lessons section where you will get an explanation of how to use this MetaTrader 4 platform in just one hours time.
At the 'top left corner' of MT4 software click on the 'File' Menu, a drop down menu appears, scroll to where you see 'Login' and click it. You will then be prompted to enter the 'username' and 'password' that you got when you registered and signed up on your broker's site.' You are now logged in to your xauusd MetaTrader 4 platform & you are ready to begin xauusd.
After this you will see your xauusd account balance displayed just below the gold charts & you as a trader can use now begin using MetaTrader 4 to place demo trades on the gold market.
