Charts Toolbar Menu & Customizing it on MT4 Platform Software
The Charts tool-bar on the MetaTrader 4 is displayed below.
Before explaining how to use each item listed on this charts tool bar, let's make sure all the available tools are added on it by customizing it:
- Right Click at the customize button key to the left of this tool bar (It looks like a stack of coins) as shown below.

Explanations of BTCUSD Trade Tools Listed
The following tutorial explains and describes how to trade with each of the buttons numbered below:
1: Bar button, sets the chart drawing method to Bars
2: Candlesticks button, sets the chart drawing technique to Candles
3: Line button, sets the chart drawing method to Line plot
4: Zoom In, zooms in
5: Zooms Out, zooms out
6: Auto Zoom, automatically zooms chart to highlight the most recent bitcoin price candles automatically once it has been click. That way the workspace of the bitcoin prices shows the real time candle that's being quoted in that moment.
7: Chart Shift, shifts the recent bitcoin price candle-stick towards the center, henceforth leaving space between the most recent candle & the extreme right side of the MetaTrader 4 software, making it easier for technical analysis.
8: Trading Indicators menu displays a list of all trading indicators & from this list a trader can choose a particular indicator, double-click on it to place it in trading panel window.
9: Periodicity displays all the chart time-frames & one can change to a different time frame for from one they are using by clicking this periodicity shortcut button.
10: Bitcoin Step by Step is used to backtest manual bitcoin systems where a trader places their system on a crypto chart, moves it back for about 2 months, then begins to move it bitcoin trading step by step & at the same time recording where their strategy would have given a buy cryptocurrency signal or a sell cryptocurrency signal or an exit signal, just the same way a trader would have traded real time while the bitcoin prices update.
11: Templates Button Key used to save new templates and load templates which have been saved on platform.
All the button keys provide short-cuts instead of traders looking for these option through the long method using the main navigating menu, a trader just clicks a tool and gains quick access to it. Toolbar will mainly contain the trading tools which are frequently used by a bitcoin trader within the MT4 BTC USD Crypto Currency Software Platform.
