How Do I Read Buy & Sell Oil Trading Orders in MT5 Crude Oil Trading Charts?
Crude Oil Trade Buy & Sell Oil Trading Orders in MT5 Oil Trading Charts
To open a buy or a sell oil trade in MT5 platform - open the Market Watch Window, Select the Oil Quote you want to open a Oil Trade with, open the oil chart of the oil symbol by double clicking on the crude oil price quote, then from the oil chart open a oil buy or sell oil trade using the MT5 order window shown below:
Place New Oil Trading Order in Tools Menu on MT5 Platform
A new buy or sell order to buy or sell a oil instrument can be found on the tools menu that is within the MT5 Oil Trading Platform. The "New Oil Trading Order" button for placing a new trade transaction on the MT5 platform is shown below. (MetaTrader 5 Keyboard Short Cut Keys 'F9')

As a oil trader, once you select the new oil order button key as illustrated above the following trade order popup window will appear. This popup includes the settings for placing a new oil trade.
Choose Buy to open a Buy Oil Trade
Select Sell to open a Sell Oil Trade
Oil Trading Analyze Buy & Sell Oil Trading Orders in MT5 Oil Trading Charts?
The Following Settings are specified for placing and setting a new oil trading order:
- Quote - Specify the instrument to be traded - oil.
- Volume - The Number of Lots to be transacted
- Stop Loss Crude Oil Order - Set StopLoss Oil Trading Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for the pending oil trading orders
- Take Profit Crude Oil Trade Order - Set Take Profit Oil Trading Order, This option can be set after opening trade, or for the pending oil trading orders
- Type: Market Execution or Pending Oil Trading Order
- Sell by Market - Open a Sell Oil Trade
- Buy by Market - Open a Buy Oil Trade
To Buy at current crude oil price select Buy by Market button
To Sell at current crude oil price select Sell by Market button key
