How to Open a Crude Oil Chart on MT4 Software

Once you've opened a practice crude oil trading account the next step is to open a Oil Trading chart so as to start trading.

For this example let's start with a blank screen on the MT4 interface.

To open a new chart from the crude oil trading example explained below, click the "File" tab at the top left corner as shown below, then select the option "New Chart".

After clicking "New Chart" a dropdown menu will appear with a list of instruments that as a trader you can select which to open. For example clicking the selection for Oil Trading, clicking Oil Trading will open the chart for oil.

Sign in to a MetaTrader 4 Crude Oil Trading Account

Before placing any trade on the MT4 crude oil trading platform, you'll be required to log in to your account & get authenticated before gaining access. Authentication is checking to see if the details you provide for User-name & Password are correct details.

To start trading in MT4 platform, just click on "File", then tap & click "Sign in" button key from the file drop down menu as shown below.

Once you in put your Username & Password you'll then have to choose the server: because this is a demo oil trading account, for this instance you'll then choose "Demo", if it was a real oil trading account/live crude oil trading account then you would have to choose "Real" Server on this option by clicking the dropdown arrow on the right side of the above text box.

Then tick the box "Save Account Information"

Then Click "Login"

Once you click sign in your details will be authenticated and you will then have access to your MT4 crude oil trading account and when logged in to your trading account you can begin to trade & place new orders in crude oil market on the MT4 platform. If you do not have log in details you can get these details by registering a demo trading account with a broker.
