Grid, Volumes, Auto Scroll & MT5 Chart Shift Options on MT5
Grid - MetaTrader 5 Grid
The MT5 grid button on the charts menu option of the MT5 Forex Platform is used to draw grid lines as shown below. A trader might prefer to trade with grids on forex chart or not and will use this button key to show or hide the Grid.
The MetaTrader 5 Grid button is displayed below (Short-cut for this menu is Ctrl+G)
Volumes - MetaTrader 5 Volumes Indicator
Volumes in Forex represent tick volumes or the number of times the tick for forex price changes during a particular time period. The more the tick changes the more the volumes. These volumes in Forex are used to estimate the number of forex traders participating in the market.
Volumes are drawn as green bars below each forex candlestick , and the height of these green bars represent the tick volume for a particular candle. ( Shot cut keys for Volumes: Ctrl+L )
Auto Scroll - MetaTrader 5 Auto Scroll
Auto scroll option when activated will automatically scroll to the most recent forex candle stick bar for every forex chart that is opened. Therefore, the most recent information is displayed and as a trader you do not have to scroll to these recent forex candle bars every time you open a new forex chart.
Chart Shift - MetaTrader 5 Charts Shift
This MT5 Charts Shift button is used to shift the forex chart more towards the center, instead of the last candlestick being right at the right side of the MT5 platform, the MT5 charts shift button will shift the most recent forex candlestick towards the center. Forex traders prefer to trade with most recent forex candlestick shifted toward the middle - this makes it easier to analyze the forex chart price movements when they are more towards the center.
For example, the MT5 Charts Shift button is shown below as an arrow pointing down, by pressing this MT5 charts shift button within the chart menus(highlighted below by a rectangle), the last forex candlestick will shift from the right and move up to this point as shown in the MT5 Charts Shift examples shown below.
MT5 charts menu options of showing grids, volumes and activating the auto scroll option for automatic scrolling to the most recent candlestick bar and also the MT5 charts shift button for shifting the last forex candlestick toward the center.
