Forex Morning Trade - The Morning Trades are The Most Traded Times in Trading
Trading in the morning is usually best. However, the market's open 24 hours a day, five and a half days each week, so what time is morning for trading?
When it comes to the trading the most active times a re during the times when banks in Europe are open (London time) and the time when the US forex banks are open (New York Time). But for most businesses around the world most of their activities is carried out early in the morning, very few transactions are carried out by international corporations in the afternoon. Stock Trades and other financial markets also follow the same patterns, trades placed with these stock brokers after the previous days market close are all executed in the first few hours of the morning.
This is an observation frequently noted by FX traders active in the market. A trader will observe that upon the London market open, the market tends to move a notable number of pips steadily for several hours, after which it begins to retrace or consolidate. Subsequently, during the initial hours of the New York morning session, the market often experiences another significant pip movement, followed, most of the time, by consolidation or retracement activities until the commencement of the next London morning session.
Typically, these two specific periods are when the market experiences 70% to 80% of its total activity. These are:
- London forex morning trade time
- New York forex morning trade time
So in GMT time what are the morning trade times of these 2 markets?
Based on the preceding chart analysis, the only Forex Morning Trades we are targeting are the London forex morning trade and the New York Forex Morning Trade.
- London forex morning trade time - 8:00 - 11:00 GMT
- New York forex morning trade time - 13:00 - 16:00 GMT
Our trading session for the morning will now be limited to just three hours because the objective for the morning trade is to exit the position before the price action enters a retracement or consolidation phase.
So, if you trade in the morning, this is when you should start and end trades. If you decide to start a trade in the morning, you should end it within three hours because, after that, most trades by big financial companies will have already happened, so there is less money moving around in the market, and the currency pair will slow down.
