Grid, Volumes, Auto Scroll and MT4 Chart Shift Options in the MT4 Platform
MT4 Grid
The grid button on the MT4 trading charts menu allows users to add grid lines, as illustrated below. Traders can choose to display or hide these grids according to their preferences.
The MT4 Grid button is located below: you can access this menu using the shortcut Ctrl+G.

MT4 Volumes Indicator
XAUUSD volumes track tick changes over time. More price ticks mean bigger volume. These figures guess how many traders join in.
Volume data is illustrated as green bars below each XAU/USD candlestick. The height of each bar represents tick volume for the respective candle.

MT4 Auto Scroll
When activated, auto scroll will automatically navigate to the most recent candle bar on every open chart. This ensures the latest information is always displayed, saving traders from manually scrolling to find recent price movements when opening new charts.

MT4 Charts Shift
This MT4 Chart Shift button moves the chart closer to the middle, so the newest candlestick is not on the far right side of the MT4 software: it moves it toward the center. Traders like to trade with the newest candle in the middle because it makes it easier to look at the chart's price movements when they are closer to the center.
For the example, the MT4 Charts Shift button appears below as a downward arrow. Press this MT4 chart shift button in the chart menus. The area is highlighted by a rectangle below. The last candle shifts rightward to that spot. See the MT4 Charts Shift example shown below.

Options available within the MT4 chart settings allow for the visualization of grids, the display of trading volumes, and the activation of the auto-scroll feature to automatically align the chart to the most recent price bar, alongside the MT4 chart shift key for centering the latest candle.
