Grid, Volumes, Auto Scroll and MetaTrader 4 Chart Shift Options on MT4
MetaTrader 4 Grid
The MetaTrader 4 grid button on the charts menu option of the MetaTrader 4 Platform is used to draw grid lines as shown below. A trader may prefer to trade with grids on chart or not and will use this button key to show or hide the Grid.
The MetaTrader 4 Grid button is shown below (Short-cut for this menu is Ctrl+G)
MetaTrader 4 Volumes Technical Indicator
Volumes in XAUUSD Trading represent tick volumes or number of times the tick for price changes during a particular time period. The greater the tick shifts the greater the volumes. These volumes in XAUUSD Trading are used to estimate the number of traders who participate in the market.
Volumes are plotted as green bars below each xauusd candlestick, & the height of these green bars represent the tick volume for a particular candlestick. (Short Cut button for Volumes : Ctrl+L)
MetaTrader 4 Auto Scroll
Auto scroll when it's activated will automatically scroll to most current candlestick bar for every chart that's opened. Hence, most recent information is displayed and as a trader you don't have to scroll to these recent candle bars every time you open a new chart.
MetaTrader 4 Charts Shift
This MT4 Chart Shift button is used to move the chart more towards the center, instead of the last candle being right at the right side of the MT4 platform, the MT4 chart shift button will move the recent most candlestick towards the center. Traders prefer to trade with recent most candlestick shifted toward the mid - this makes it easier to analyze the chart price moves when they're more towards the center.
For example, the MT4 Charts Shift button is shown below as an arrow pointing down, by pressing this MT4 charts shift button within the chart menus(high lighted below by a rectangle), the last candlestick will shift from the right and move up to this point as illustrated in the MetaTrader 4 Charts Shift example illustrated below.
MetaTrader 4 charts menu options of showing grids, volumes and activating the auto scroll option for automatic scrolling to the recent most candlestick bar & also the MetaTrader 4 charts shift button key for shifting the last candle toward the center.
