Before opening any xauusd trading on the MetaTrader 4 platform, you will be required to log in to your account.

As a trader you will use your account sign in number and password to login to your trading account.

Your account sign in will then get authenticated - authentication is checking to see if the details you provide for User-name & Password are the correct details for your account.

Once you login to your account on the MetaTrader 4 platform using the procedure described below you can then open charts and place trade transactions using this online MT4 software.

To begin xauusd in MT4, just click on "File", then choose and click "Login" button from the file drop down menu as shown below.
