Periodicity is commonly referred to as CFDs Chart Time Frames by many traders. On the MT5 platform.
The button below is used to choose the periodicity or cfd chart timeframe to trade with. This button can be accessed on the MT5 platform as shown below.

- 1 Min Chart Time Frame - M1
- 5 Minute Chart Time-frame - M5
- 15 Minute Chart Time-frame - M15
- 30 Minute Chart Time Frame - M30
- 1 H Chart Time Frame - H1
- 4 Hours Chart Time Frame - H4
- Daily Chart Time Frame - D1
- Weekly Chart Time Frame - W1
- Monthly Chart Time-frame - MN
How to Know Which CFD Chart Time-frame You are Using
A common question especially if you're new to cfd would be how to identify which cfd chart timeframe you are using on your MT5 platform:
There are various methods of knowing which MT5 cfd chart time frame you are using as Shown below:
Use the above Menu as Shown above
In the above cfd example once you select the periodicity button under the charts menu, then the list of MT5 cfd chart timeframes is shown and the cfds chart timeframe that is currently selected, the one that you are using will be highlighted with a different color, on our above example this is the 1 Hour(H1) cfd chart timeframe, whose Icon on the left is highlighted in light blue.
MT5 CFDs Chart Change Chart Time-frame - How to Change MT5 CFDs Chart Timeframe
This MT5 periodicity MT5 toolbar is by default located at the top of the MT5 cfds platform and has all the cfds chart timeframes marked as shown below. The chart timeframe that a trader is using will be marked differently from the other cfd chart timeframes, the selected cfd chart timeframe will be "indented" as shown below:

At the top left corner of the MT5 cfd chart, the MT5 cfd chart time-frame is displayed as illustrated below:

When you open a cfd chart you can then use the above three methods to know which periodicity - cfd chart timeframe you are trading with.
You can also use the tabs, if you're trading many cfd trading charts. To view this tab, Go to "View Menu" then Select "Charts Bar". The following MT5 bar will appear that you can use to navigate and it indicates the cfds as well as the cfds chart timeframe.
