Kurtosis Bitcoin Analysis & Kurtosis Signals
This bitcoin indicator is used to help determine the sentiment of the btcusd market.
It is calculated in three parts.
- Kurtosis portion
- Fast Kurtosis
- Fast/Slow Kurtosis
Kurtosis part is calculated using the formula:
K = n-periods momentum - n-periods momentum of 1 bar before (current bitcoin price bar’s momentum value minus the previous bitcoin price bar’s momentum value)
The Fast Kurtosis part is calculated using this formula:
FK = n-periods MA Moving Average of K
Fast/Slow Kurtosis portion is calculated using the formula:
FSK = n-periods Moving Average of FK
BTCUSD Analysis and Generating Signals
Bullish Signal - A buy cryptocurrency signal gets generated/derived when the indicator crosses above zero.
Bearish Signal - A sell cryptocurrency signal is generated when the indicator crosses below zero.
